Edgefield House

Edgefield House

Hygge Developments were tasked with the complete renovation of this distinctive and full of character 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home at La Petite Fosse, St Ouen. Working closely with the historic buildings section of the Planning Department, we created a home that retained a lot of its original 17th century features and elements of traditional craftmanship with all the requirements of modern-day living – including under-floor heating and slim-line double-glazed windows.

The interiors include an eye-catching copper bath feature in the master bedroom and a spiral wine cellar built into a cavity excavated beneath the main living room floor. For those who believe the kitchen is the heart of the home, you’ll be impressed by the granite wall-mounted breakfast bar, counter complete with butcher’s block and the Quooker instant boiling water tap system. The outdoor sun terrace completes the property and is the perfect spot for hosting barbeques and get-togethers.

The total square footage of the house is xxx and consists of the following:

  • Outdoor area including a first-floor sun terrace and gravel courtyard
  • Second kitchen at the far end of the property – suitable for two generations
  • Utility room complete with storage cabinets and laundry appliances
  • Bespoke kitchen units and fittings handcrafted by Artizan and high-specification Wolfe appliances
  • Main staircase leads to a gallery landing
  • Parking for two cars
  • Outdoor amenity space including undercover storage
  • Situated close by to local shops and amenities
  • Located on a quiet, private lane
  • 3 bedrooms – two ground floor and one bedroom upstairs
  • Ground floor boot room complete with lockers and bench seating
  • Downstairs cloakroom with bowl-style copper basin
  • 17th century features throughout the property – exposed beams, thick granite walls and tongue-and-groove panelling
  • Living room complete with incorporated kitchen and wood-burning stove

"A considerable amount of time, care and passion has been put into this home, which in many ways is truly unique."
